Once upon a time, I was in Memphis! As with many visits to hospitals that I am not familiar with, I often have conversations with staff at that hospital, for directions! It has happened in Memphis, Chattanooga, and others. On one occasion, as written in my autobiography, My Eventful Life, I asked for directions when I was hours away from Nashville, new as a courier, and really wondering if I was going to make a successful delivery. Today, as I was doing what I often do riding the elevator; I met two hospital visitors. Well, that was not the end of it. It never fails, when I am in familiar territory (in one of the hospitals that I frequent); I am always able to tell if a visitor (patient or non-employee) is unsure of where they are going. Well, little to my surprise, a conversation began. Two visitors were looking to find their clinic. It was as if they were going to 'pop the question' which was, 'where is clinic number' _____ ? I told them 'you are close, just continue down this hall and you will see that number'!
What was so unique about this meeting was their question reminded me of what happened to me when I was lost in a hospital. As for me, an employee in maintenance helped me. She left her duties to assist me. Today, these visitors said they were from Memphis. I expressed my enthusiasm for their city and agreed, 'these hospitals really are complicated to find your way'.
Although they are surely back in Memphis at this writing, I'd like to say, to these two from Memphis, it was nice to meet you, and please return to our city. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Nashville. Additionally, as it goes with your medical appointment, I hope all is well.
Thanks, below are some tips so as how you can get the ends and outs of "podcasting".
